Lady’s Island Swing Bridge

2014 November 14
by Greg & Lyn

We are in Beaufort SC. There is a nice anchorage and dinghy dock to come in to. We have enjoyed walking the main street and along the waterfront. We met a cruising couple on another sail boat and went to dinner and learned all we could from them as this is their 3rd year to head to the Bahamas. It was a fun evening.

These are pictures of Lady’s Island swing bridge, the bridge we had to come through to anchor here in Beaufort.

How we see it from the deck of Paperbird….

I hope you have gotten far enough south to miss our lovely weather. Otherwise I would tell you to quickly winterize your boat for the cold. It just makes me feel better to tell you that as I have not yet winterized my boat.
Hope you all are having a great time!

34 in Thunderbolt GA this morning. Going up to 50 today, then back to 23 tonight. We’ve taken refuge in Sail Harbor Marina where some friends are wintering and where we can plug in our heater. Touring Savannah today and tomorrow, then back on the water Thurs after it warms up a bit. Have fun winterizing! I do NOT miss that chore!
